About the Event
Horace Pippin was an African American artist who questioned the true meaning of victory for African American soldiers and America at large during World Wars I&II. In this program, students will investigate discrimination during times of war through photographs, World War posters, and comic books. Using Pippin’s tools as an artist and storyteller, they will create individual representations of what victory would look like in today’s America.
