About the Event
Explore gender, identity, and sexuality through the eye of photographer Lissa Rivera. In this Trout Gallery-sponsored event, Student Interpreters will lead an informal discussion on representations of gender-fluidity in two works from Rivera's series The Silence of Spaces. Co-hosted by Dickinson's Office of LGBTQ Services. ABOUT TROUT UN-MUTE: Trout UN-Mute is a new student-led event series that gives you behind the scenes access to conversations, research, and creative inspirations taking place at The Trout Gallery! UN-Mute/d events offer an informal space for exploring the personal and experiential. Throughout our virtual semester, we’ll be hosting themed 15-30 minute art chats, activities, and mini-escapes from lecture-style online meetings. From globally known contemporary artists to seasonally-inspired works from the permanent collection, each event is designed by students for students. We’re excited to talk with you—UN-Muted!
